Certain items of carriage are categorized as "restricted items ". Conditions of carriage for these items change occasionally due to amendments made to existing laws or when new laws are implemented in countries of the SriLankan Airlines network. We encourage you to check this site frequently and contact us if you need any assistance.

 1.   What items are not accepted by SriLankan Cargo?

Any endangered species.

  Crocodile skin products (bags, shoes, etc ...).

  Antiques (export only).


  2.  Do I need to obtain prior approval for the shipment of live animals?

       Live Animals will not be accepted without the approval from the Department of Animal Health (Sri Lanka).        The shipper is requested to produce the permit obtained from the said Department before making        reservations.

  3.  Do you airfreight live animals on all your aircrafts?
      
       No live animals are air freighted on the SriLankan Airlines A320 aircraft until further notice.

       05)     Radioactive materials
